In the state of California, you have the right to pre-designate a doctor to treat you in the event you are injured on the job. You can only pre-designate your own personal physician, and it must be done in writing before an injury occurs. If you do not pre-designate a doctor, you must seek treatment for work-related injuries with a doctor designated by your employer.
